Autism Acceptance Month

"Autism Acceptance means that you understand that not everyone communicates, learns, or experiences life the same way. Autism isn’t a one-size-fits-all disorder. Each diagnosis comes with a diverse range of talents, experiences, and perspectives. Some might need a little extra help, while others might be highly independent. Everyone’s story is different."

- American Foreign Service Protective Association

History of Autism Acceptance Month

World Autism Month (known as Autism Acceptance Month in the US) was initiated in 2008, building on the United Nations’s establishment of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2007.
