The Whittemore Library ensures that students, faculty, staff and the general public have appropriate technologies needed to access programs and services of the university.
The Library is committed to provide equal access to all students and members of our community so the may "be informed, inspired, and empowered to become information literate and self-directed learners" as stated in FSU's vision statement. Our policy is intended to expand our library services to patrons with visual, hearing, learning and other disabilities through the use of assistive technology and an accomodating space to enable them to become independent and autonomous library users. The Library works closely with the Center for Academic Suport (CASA) which manages accomodations for students at the university.
The Assistive Technology station is located on the first floor near the Reference Department.
