FSU Digital Repository (FSUDR) Mission

The Framingham State University Digital Repository was established to provide open, online access to the products of the University's research and scholarship, to preserve these works for future generations, to promote new models of scholarly communication, and to help deepen community understanding of the value of higher education.

Copyright Policy

FSU community members are not allowed to request upload / archiving of full-text of materials to which they do not - or no longer - hold the copyright. This includes materials they initially created but subsequently licensed exclusively over to a commercial publisher, unless that licensing agreement explicitly permits archiving of a copy in their school's institutional repository.

Lacking that, the FSUDR can:

  • Provide a link to the official journal-published 'version of record'
  • Upload a 'pre-print' version of the work if the publisher licensing agreement permits

The FSUDR is happy to arrange for the archiving of your openly-licensed works.

Repository Workflow

To arrange for your materials to be added to the FSUDR, please contact Abelard Newell, the Emerging Technologies and Digital Services Librarian, to start the process.
