For Faculty

Lower the Cost of Required Course Readings

The Scholarly Communications Librarian will be happy to create for you a custom bibliography of no-cost teaching materials, including:

  • Open Educational Resources (such as free, online textbooks)
  • eBooks already owned by the Library
  • Free online Public Domain materials
  • Open Access Monographs
  • Other no-cost online materials

Simply e-mail your request, and include either the course syllabus, or alternate, sufficient information about learning objectives and course concepts to receive a list of no-cost teaching materials to assess - a great time saver, and one way to get your course sections closer to being labeled 'Low-Cost' / 'No-Cost'* in Banner during Registration time.

* As per the MA DHE Course Marking Guide definition: $50.00 and below = 'Low Cost', $0.00 = 'No Cost'.
