What we mean by 'Music'

The general definition of 'music' is that it's the art of organizing sounds in time to create an experience expressing ideas and emotions. The Whittemore Library has music in our collection - but does that mean that we have recorded music that can be borrowed and listened to? Or does it mean that we have musical scores, the written notation in book form that allows music composers to share their vision with those who would actually perform their music?  We have access to both.
