Library & other resources for those learning about how businesses and organizations function AND how to manage them.

Welcome!

What's in this Guide

The businesss world makes much use of all sorts of data and information (analyzed data) - to figure out what state the economy is in, what its customer base might want, whether upcoming regulations are likely to impact their business model,  to discern what its close competitor businesses may be doing, even analyzing internally-generated data to see if it's running efficiently as an organization. Business trade journals keep track of news and trends, while scholarly journal articles offer deep dives on business theory and practice.

The first part of this Resource Guide will point out - in a generalized way - the specialized business information databases, authoritative reference sources, deep dive journals and monographs, as well as useful online information sources, that you will be using.

The 'Management Specializations' area, in contrast, will offer some selected resources much more targeted to each program's focus, especially for the more interdisciplinary specializations (e.g.: IT Management). This is where you'll see specific books and journals mentioned, as we do have some pretty specialized resources that we want to make sure you're aware of.
