Limit by Date to see info from a specifc era (best for 18th century +)

Our databases all let you limit your search results to a specific publication date or date period. This makes it easier to find primary information sources created/published during certain historic periods (as opposed to later, secondary sources where other people analyzed others' primary information).

Example: You want to read about the Public Works Administration, but from a primary source back when it was set up in response to unemployment during the Great Depression.

One can set up the correct time period to find items published back in the 1930s (the example below is RamSearch's date range limiter):

Click on 'All Filters'

Then choose 'Publication Date' filter

You'll probably need a custom date range:
